Facts about RSS API
A short, factual overview of RSS API. For details, see the documentation.
What it is
RSS API is a web API for working with RSS, ATOM and JSON feeds. It parses a feed into a unified JSON structure, and it can monitor feeds and send a webhook to your server when new items appear.
Main features
- Parsing: request any feed URL and get normalized JSON back (docs).
- Subscriptions: register a feed and a webhook URL; RSS API checks the feed periodically and calls the webhook for each new item (docs).
- Combining: merge several feeds into one response.
- Image data: images are extracted from items where the feed provides them.
Supported formats
RSS, RDF, ATOM and JSON Feed. The service also reads Google Shopping product feeds.
